"The Neutralizer" XXXL 9" Black Candle by Starry Candles

I'd been searching for a big black candle for years.  Ever since I was gifted one by a fellow Witch I have grown fond of their usefulness for "sucking up" negativity.  While I'm not connoisseur of candles I know what I like, and more importantly what I don't like.

For me black candles are especially useful for their ability to neutralize negative or low energy.  While I keep my candle workings very simple (I don't even dress my candles) they're always affective.

When I got my first black candle years ago I hadn't yet used one that large, this one was about 4" and while partially burned was a good 6" when I got it, for any purpose.  I didn't object to their use but I just never have been big on candle magick.

After using that "big momma" of a black candle I was sold and very upset when it finally burned down enough to not be usable anymore.

You can imagine my delight when I came across Starry Candles.  I immediately contacted Starlene about making a custom candle.  Having known and worked with her before I knew her work was more than worthwhile.  She offers a variety of shapes, including stars, circles, and hearts among other shapes and several sizes.  What appealed to me most was the special touch she puts in all of her work.  Unlike your average candle she offers them scented or unscented (which is great for me as I have a bit of a dislike for scented candles.)  She also offers the inclusion of specially chosen crystals to suit the intention of the candle!  It's like you get a little present at the end of each candle!

The attention to detail Star gave while making my candle was exquisite.  Being a bit of a "size queen", as my tattoo artist once called me, I wanted one huge whopper of a candle.  Because I'm a Chaos Witch I tend to burn black candles more frequently to suck up the residual of Murphy's Law visiting my house.  Not only that I wanted it squid ink black, which apparently is more difficult to achieve that I realized.

When it arrived (quickly by Priority Mail) both I and my son were squealing in delight to open it up.  Since then it's had an honored place on my large tabletop altar that sits in my sacred/workspace next to my desk.  Each time I burn it is a fond reminder of the care and skill taken to make it!

I give Starlene a 5 of 5 for her dedication and stellar quality of work.  She was both patient & knowledgeable with all of my candle queries and I know now who will be my only ritual candle distributor!  I highly recommend her to Pagans and non-Pagans alike!
