 Practical Reiki by Alice Langholt Alice Langholt offers a fresh and down-to-earth perspective on Reiki. Devoid of any vague mystical references her book is just as it is titled, a practical guide. Working with Ole Gabrielsen she went further in a relatable fashion with Kundalini Reiki, which he had channeled, to make a comprehensive guidebook for her new method. Cover art is designed by her and illustrated by a graphic artist. The book comes in paperback form and is small enough to slip into a purse or small bag making reading on the go easy! She offers autographed copies on her website Reiki Awakening. The book retails for $15.00. Alice's work touches on the basics of the energy healing practice Reiki, covering intention, the intuitive senses, the chakras, levels 1, 2, and 3, how to give attunements, some considerations for people who practice Reiki, some frequently asked questions, and even gives a quick reference guide and additional information appendices. This book is also not just for the new and incoming Reiki practitioner, but also offers clear, down-to-Earth points for one already practicing. Being an intuitive counselor and Reiki Master Teacher I personally felt a marked opening after reading her work and applying it's techniques and suggestions. I give Alice's work 5 of 5 stars for practicality, clarity, and accessibility.
