It's always funny what we notice about ourselves that others don't catch...
Just a few notes on what's up this week including: what's on my mind, some musings about healing, and what's new on the blog...
Personally speaking...I took a bit of a meandering thought and turned it into a rather lengthy post on Facebook. It started out with sharing an interesting word, loquacious for those who are interested. Which got me thinking about some personal facts about myself that aren't always so obvious to others. Which turned into a digression into numerology.
The long and short of it is I'm not as shy and quiet as I appear, at least not to those who know me. At first glance I seem coolly reserved, quiet, and aloof. Cold even. The reality is that I just don't talk that much to people I don't know well. While others may jump into a talkative frenzy and be quite gregarious I prefer to sit and observe before acting. This is me living out my 7 Life Path Number. 7 thinks before it acts, always. In fact, 7 thinks so much that it may not act at all, preferring instead to sit in quiet, deep contemplation of things. It's analytical and observant, but certainly not chatty. Have a chat with someone who knows me well, and it doesn't even have to be a super close and long-term friendship, and you'll get a whole different story. I've had several people tell me that I can't possibly be an introvert because I'm so damned chatty. Really what it is is that once comfort and/or commonality is established my lively nature comes right on out. With a 3 Heart's Desire & Personality Number I can be a little life of the party. 3 energy is lively, happy-go-lucky, and chatty. It's creative and loves to communicate it's ideas excitedly to anyone who'll listen. Such an interesting mix of energy that at first seems so incongruent! Musing about healing...A mild freakout session on my part had me looking for meditative solution. Meditation has long been extolled for it's healing affects on all levels and I intuitively knew it was going to be the answer for me. Not being the biggest fan of medications (since many do not correct, but rather mask problems), I'm always in favor of developing better habits and more productive ways of living to mitigate the negatives that come up in life from time to time.
Two searches later and I found a Kundalini Yoga meditation practice. I looked it over and it sounded good, but the explanation seemed somewhat out of context. Next, I turned to my now "go to book" for meditations Miracles Now by Gabrielle Bernstein. Flipping through the table of contents I picked out one that seemed to be just what I need. And o sweet serendipity, it was the exact one I'd found in my earlier search. No need for three's a charm here. What I'm talking about...I feel like I've not been on the blog in forever. Lots of time mismanagement and some over committing as I hurry to get ready for Little Miss' arrival. So there'll be a few posts pop up suddenly over the next little while from me not quite getting them out there.
